The first thing I tell every client: this is not your fault.

Fraud victims almost always blame themselves — "How could I fall for this? I'm not stupid." I've seen hundreds of these cases, and I can tell you: scammers run polished, rehearsed scripts, and they catch smart, educated people. Doctors, engineers, retired finance professionals.

Over 12 years of practice I've helped hundreds of clients in different countries recover money taken by fake trading platforms, crypto fraudsters, romance scammers and pyramid schemes. I know how banks, crypto exchanges and payment processors operate across jurisdictions, and I use wire recall, chargeback and international dispute procedures to make them give your money back.

I'll explain everything in plain English, without legal jargon. After what you've been through, the last thing you need is a lecture — you need someone who listens and then tells you exactly what happens next.

If there's no realistic chance, I'll say so and talk you out of spending anything. If there is, we start without a cent up front. Tell me your story in the form above, and I'll contact you personally within the hour.

Cases

Four stories. Real recoveries.

Names changed to protect client privacy. Amounts and timelines are real.

No. 01 · Crypto exchange4 months
$112,000of $145,000
Recovered77%

A fake crypto exchange took $145,000 from an engineer

What happened

The client bought bitcoin on a major exchange and moved it to a platform promising a "trading bot with 30% monthly returns". When he tried to withdraw, his account was frozen and he was told to pay "income tax" first.

What I did

Traced the funds on-chain to the scammers' cold wallets and obtained records from the originating and transit exchanges through formal requests. Under AML compliance pressure, part of the assets was frozen and returned.

No. 02 · Offshore "broker"6 weeks
$68,000of $82,000
Recovered83%

A retiree and an offshore "broker" with invented profits

What happened

The client, 71, got a call from an "investment consultant". Over three months he was talked into wiring $82,000 to an offshore brokerage. The dashboard showed growing profits — until he asked to withdraw and was refused.

What I did

Initiated a wire recall through the sending bank with a full evidence package. In parallel, filed reports with the cybercrime unit and the financial regulator. The bank returned part of the funds out of court.

No. 03 · Romance scam5 months
$50,000of $65,000
Recovered77%

A Tinder match that cost the client $65,000

What happened

For six months the client messaged a "military officer" on a long overseas deployment. His personal accounts, he said, were frozen while he served. When "his mother had a stroke", he asked her to pay for the surgery and promised to repay everything on his return. Seven payments through a payment app and her bank — $65,000. After the last transfer he deleted his profile and changed his number.

What I did

Proved the bank's negligence: seven large transfers to the same unknown recipient in a short period is a textbook romance-scam pattern the bank was obliged to flag and stop. The bank compensated part of the sum out of court to avoid a lawsuit.

No. 04 · Payment redirection3 weeks
$186,000of $210,000
Recovered89%

Hackers swapped the bank details on a home purchase — $210,000 went to the wrong account

What happened

The client was buying a house. The day before closing, hackers broke into the email of the law firm handling the deal and sent "updated" bank details in its name. The client wired the full amount — $210,000 — to the scammers instead of the real escrow agent.

What I did

Within the first 24 hours — the critical window — I launched a wire recall through the sending bank and brought in the receiving bank's fraud team and the cybercrime unit. Most of the money was frozen on the scammers' account and returned to the client without going to court.

FAQ

What to know before we talk

Seven honest answers to the hardest questions.

No. Anyone who guarantees a 100% recovery is a scammer. What I do guarantee: I take a case only when I see a real legal path, and you don't pay a cent until the money lands in your account.

The consultation is free. My work costs $0 up front. I work on a contingency fee: my payment is an agreed percentage of the amount we actually recover. If nothing is recovered, you pay nothing.

On average, 2 to 12 months. A straightforward chargeback or wire recall takes 2–4 weeks. Cases involving blockchain forensics or a group action take 6–12 months. The sooner you get in touch after the transaction, the better the chances of freezing the funds.

Yes. Financial fraud, wire transfers and crypto aren't tied to one country. I work with clients from many countries. The jurisdiction of a case is determined not by your address, but by which banks and platforms the money went through.

Yes. The police don't recover money — they chase criminals. Banks automatically reject claims filed without legal grounds and in the wrong form (formal complaint, transaction dispute). I know which arguments and regulatory references get results with banking compliance teams.

That's a myth, and it only benefits the scammers. The blockchain is completely transparent. Using professional blockchain forensics tools and formal requests to regulated exchanges (Binance, OKX, Kraken), we trace the destination wallets and get them frozen.

Recovery scammers always ask for money up front: "pay the tax", "buy the software", "regulator's fee". I never ask for an advance. You receive a contract with full company details and an NDA before any work starts — your confidentiality is protected legally.
